Rite of Solstice

December 5th, 2010

With equal regularity as that of the sun ruling the day and the moon governing the night, all Master Masons of the Blue Craft Lodges under the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of the Philippines, gather during the advent of the winter solstice to elect their respective new set of officers for the ensuing term. New pillars of the Lodge are erected during the time when Earth’s axial tilt is moving farthest away from the sun which the ancients consider as a period of new beginnings, or the season of rebirth.

Our Lodge, the Jacques DeMolay Memorial Lodge No. 305 F.& A.M. just had this regular exercise and the brethren elected me Senior Warden, representing the pillar of strength and stationed in the West where the sun sets to close the day.

Congratulations to all newly elected officers of all Blue Lodges on this part of the world under the Grand Jurisdiction of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of the Philippines.
